  • If the number of pages or structure of the document changes and deviates from the exact setup of the template the templates may not work (we've seen this with large documents/templates with DocuSign and Dropbox Signall leading eSign solutions)

  • Templates must be maintained if the document structure changes.

  • We have seen several large builders customers seek legal advice on whether the "old school" traditional approach of initialling every page is still needed with eSign:

    • All legal advice says indicated this is no longer needed as the pages "cannot be separated" (ie. the reason initials were always done on every paper page)

    • This means a simple/standard signature for the entire document is more than sufficient, is just as legally binding, and is simpler for customers to complete (ie. rather than hitting the "initial here" button 70 action many times)

    • These builders Customers are moving away from this, requiring only one eSignature, which means templates are not needed, don't need to be maintained, etc.
