MYOB ODBC DSN ConnectionFor TFS Integration to update and access MYOB data, an ODBC Data Source Name (DSN) connection to the MYOB database is required. How to Setup a MYOB ODBC DSN- Open Data Sources (ODBC) (Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)). The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog will be displayed.
- Select the System DSN tab.
- Click the Add button. The Create New Data Source dialog will be displayed.

The MYOB ODBC data source MYOAU0801 is only used by MYOB Premier 12 and MYOB Accounting 18. |
- Click the Finish button. The ODBC MYOB Setup Configuration dialog will be displayed.

- Enter the required Data Source Name.
- Enter a description, if required.
- Click the Browse button to search for the MYOB Company File location. The Select File for ODBC Source dialog will be displayed.
- Select the required .myo file (e.g., company.myo).
- Click the Open button. The dialog will close.
- Enter a Username and Password, if required.
- In the Developer Access section, tick Enable. The Developer Access fields become available.
- Click the MYOB Application Path Browse button. The Select MYOB Application file dialog will be displayed.
- Select the required .exe file (e.g., myobp.exe)
- Click the Open button. The dialog will close.
- If the File Access section is enabled (it is disabled when pointing towards the MYOB Accounting executable), select the correct file access settings.
- Click the Key Value Browse button. The Select Key File dialog will be displayed
- Select the required .key file (e.g., 012345678910.key)
- Click the Open button. The dialog will close.
- Click the OK button. The MYOB ODBC DSN connection will be created.
Enable MYOB LicenceThe following procedure allows write access to the MYOB ODBC DSN connection. - Open MYOB.
- Open the correct database.
- Open the Company Information screen (Setup > Company Information)
- Click the Licence button. The Enable Licence dialog is displayed.
- Click the Enable Online button.The licence will be enabled.
- After the licence has been enabled, the Update Licence Confirmed dialog will be displayed. Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button.
- Close MYOB.
