Solution:When an Insula Group app fails due to a Sentinel Key error, an error code is provided in the message. The error codes mean the following: Error Code 600 - No server found This error will occur when the Sentinel Protection Server cannot be found on the network. The Sentinel Protection Server must be installed on the machine hosting the sentinel key, and all machines running CSG applications need to be able to communicate with it through the network.
This error will occur when a Sentinel Key with an ID matching the ID stored in the site's license database cannot be found on the network. This may mean the ID (decimal number) is incorrect and needs to be re-entered using the CSGAdmin tool, or that the key is not physically plugged in to the server machine, or that it is not being read by the host machine for some reason.
This error will occur when the expiry date stored in the key has been passed. Contact CSG to renew your license as it has expired. Please note that the regional settings of the user running the CSG app need to be correctly set to English (Australia).
This error will occur if the key has been made inactive by CSG.
This error will occur when the Key ID stored in the database does not match the Key ID of any new keys plugged into the server while any licenses have been in use.
This error will occur when the license database name stored in the license database is not identical to the license database name stored in the key. This can be resolved by using the CSG Admin tool to save the values stored in the license database into the key.
This error will occur when the server name stored in the license database is not identical to the server name stored in the key. This can be resolved by using the CSG Admin tool to save the value stored in the license database into the key.
This error will occur when the key does not have vital information correctly installed on it to run CSG apps. Error Code 608 - Key Excluded This error will occur when the key has been blocked by CSG because it's code matches that of a stolen/missing key.
This error will occur when there has been a communication problem between the machine running the CSG app and the key server. This may be due to the app crashing or being stalled for longer than a couple of minutes, or by network issues between the machine running the app and the key server.
This error will occur when all the available licenses for a particular module have already been used. Occasionally old license sessions may still be active in the server, these can be refreshed by restarting Sentinel Protection Server service on the machine hosting the key.
This error will occur when the key has failed for an unknown reason.
This is used internally by the system to represent normal key behaviour. To troubleshoot sentinel key issues, you can download our monitoring tool from the below link: ftp://ftp.insulagroup.com.au/Framework/Tools/Sentinel%20Monitoring%20Tool/ When you download this tool, you can see the sentinel keys that are being broadcasted through the network, and are available to your machine. Inability to see the sentinel key is indicative of potential environmental issues. |
