Status: Framework (all versions) IS NOT v7.0 is compatible with Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) v18.1

Insula are actively working with Sage and their Developer Partner Program to achieve compatibility ASAP.

Background

Sage has advised their solution providers and customers that version 18.1 of Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) will be made available in May 2018.

STP applies for these employers from July 1, 2018.

From Sage: “Payroll – Single Touch Payroll This release is mandatory for customers with Payroll modules in Australia to be Single Touch Payroll compliant. For inactive customers with Payroll modules, we encourage business partners to please discuss the requirement to be on latest release to enable Single Touch Payroll reporting.”

Framework clients are advised that compatibility with Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) 18.1 will be is certified and supported in Framework v7.0 (or later).

Earlier Framework versions WILL NOT be certified as compatible with this new version.

Insula are actively working with Sage and their Developer Partner Program to achieve compatibility ASAP.

Insula can confirm that compatibility WILL NOT be certified before the introduction of STP on July 1, 2018.

Framework clients using Timberline are strongly encouraged to speak with their tax advisors on the STP implications of not having compatible systems in place by July 1, 2018, and until further notice.

Clients should also investigate and be aware of known issues with other third-party products integrating with Timberline such as BuilderMT WMS.

Clients may use this knowledge base article as an official Insula Software statement should it be required in an STP exemption request of the ATO.
