Email templates are linked into SmartCampaign from the TFS Administration Tool.

To create a new email template, please see the TFS Administration Tool Help Guide (Email Templates topic).

Note

Users must have security permission to access the TFS Administration Tool.

  • Open the TFS Administration Tool.
  • From the Administration menu, select Templates then Email Templates.

  1. From the Category field drop-down list, select SmartCampaign - Email. The Templates list will be updated.
  2. Click the Templates list. A shadow will appear around the list to indicate that it is selected and ready to use.
  3. Click the New button. The Email Template dialog will be displayed.
  4. Enter a name for the new email template.
  5. Click the Short Name Copy button (Image Modified) if the short name is to be the same as the email template name.
    OR
    Enter a short name for the email template.
  6. Click the OK button. The Email Template dialog will close.
  7. Click the (left) Edit button.
  8. In the Subject field, type a subject for the email.
  9. In the Message Body, type the text to appear in the email. Field codes are available to insert into your email to personalise it and to include important details.
    1. Place the cursor in the position to which a field is to be inserted.
    2. Click the Field Codes drop-down button. A drop-down list of pre-defined field codes will be displayed.
    3. Select the required field code from the list.
    4. Click the Insert button. The selected field code will be inserted in the current cursor location.
  10. Click the OK button. The template is now available for selection.
