The Entity screen is designed to manage entities in TFS. It displays all of the entities in the system excluding clients and client contacts.
An entity is a person or company within the system regardless of what they do. Thus, a staff member, a broker, a financier, a vendor, a supplier are all entities. Entities also play roles within the business. A single entity can play multiple roles. For example, an entity called John Smith may be a staff member; ABC Bank will be a financier; whilst ABC Accounting may be an accounting firm and a referrer. Entity Roles are set automatically within the system however they can be changed or deactivated. An entity will always be associated with a role. A range of entity roles are included (e.g., accountant, bank, broker, etc.).
