SMS Messages in Framework are supported by the Perspective Gateway. 


SMS Messages List

Column

Description

Created

Date and time the SMS was created. This column can be sorted by clicking the column heading.

Sent

Date and time the SMS was sent.

Important: Sent refers only to the processing of the SMS message through

CCG Gateway

Perpsective Gateway to the provider. It is not confirmation that the recipient has received the SMS.

Status

Current state or final outcome of the sent message. This includes: 

  • Ready To Send: The SMS is waiting for the CCG Monitor to process the message.
  • Sent: The SMS has been processed and sent with no errors.
  • Not Sent: Message Expired: The message will not be sent. The pathway was inactive for a time long enough to exceed the expiry time set in the preferences.
  • Not Sent: Out Of Credit: The message will not be sent as no SMS credits are available. Contact Insula Software

User who created the message.

To

Recipient(s) of the SMS.

Note: Only the first recipient in the list will appear on the screen. Multiple recipients will be indicated by a + symbol and a number indicating the number of extra recipients.

Message

First characters of the SMS content.

Job #

Job Number associated with the message.

Tip: To load the relevant job, highlight the message and click the Select button.

The New SMS dialog allows you to send SMS messages to custom contacts, client contacts, or Framework ECM entities.


Job Group

Specific?

Indicates whether the SMS is specific to a job.

If an SMS is launched from the Job SMS Messages screen

(see Job SMS Messages)

, by default this will be set to Yes and the Number field will display the associated job number. If launched from the Comments

(see Comment Overview)

or SMS Message

(see SMS Messages)

screens, by default this will be set to No.

This field can be modified.

Number

Job number.

This field is locked if the Specific? field is set to Yes.

Include Job #?

Indicates whether the job number will be included in the SMS message content.

Note: When this field is modified, the Message box is reset to the default contents.

Include Job Address?

Indicates whether the job address will be included in the SMS message content.

Note: When this field is modified, the Message box is reset to the default contents.

SMS Group

The fields in this group are locked and updated automatically.

Recipient: Custom Group

Allows you to enter a custom mobile number and name for those recipients not available in Framework ECM.

Field

Description

Name

Name of the SMS recipient.

Number

Mobile number of the SMS recipient.

Tip: Recognised SMS number formats:
- Australian SMS numbers can be formatted with the 61 country code or local 0, with spaces or without,
- For example; +61 4XX XXX XXX, 614XXXXXXXX, 04XX XXX XXX, 04XXXXXXXX
- International numbers must include the international dialling code, country code, and mobile number. 
- For example; +[CountryCode][MobileNumber], +358 40x xxx xxx.

The  button is used to add a custom recipient to the SMS Recipients list.

Allows you to select from a list of contacts for the currently selected client to add to the SMS Recipients list. All Client Contacts against the selected job are listed. Those with mobile telephone records have that number displayed.

Name of the client contact.

Number

Mobile number of the client contact.

The  button is used to add a selected client contact to the SMS Recipients list.

Allows you to select from a list of Framework ECM entities, such as staff members, to add to the SMS Recipients list.

Field

Description

Entity Role

The Entity Role drop-down list is used to select an entity role, such as staff member, administrator, etc. This refreshes the Entities list.

Search

Once an entity role is provided, enter search criteria to narrow the number of names displayed in the Entities list.

Example: Enter 'g' in the Search box to display entities that begin with the letter 'g'.

Entities List

Allows you to select from a list of Framework ECM entities to add to the SMS Recipients list.

Note: Each 160 character message is considered a unit and multiple units will incur use of multiple monetary credits.

Buttons

Button

Description


Click to allocate an entity to the SMS Recipients list. The three allocate buttons apply to the following groups: 

  • Recipient: Custom
  • Recipients: Client Contacts
  • Recipients: Framework Entities


Click to remove all recipients from the SMS Recipients list.


Click to remove the selected recipient from the SMS Recipients list.


Click to send the SMS message to the selected recipients.

The OK button will only become available when a legitimate recipient is present in the SMS Recipients list.

Once the OK button is clicked, the message is sent and is processed by CCG Gateway.


Click to cancel the SMS message.
