Editing the Framework Application Icon Compatibility


  1. Right Click on the Icon


  2. Click on the Troubleshoot Program


  3. Select the below settings


  4. Select Windows 7


  5. Click on Test the program...

titleUpdating Registry to Enable Linked Connections for Mapped Drives
  1. Run Regedit.exe
  2. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
  3. Add a DWORD (32bit)
  4. New DWORD should be named EnableLinkedConnections 
  5. Edit the Vaue = 1
  6. You must reboot your PC after making this change.

  1. Log into the user machine as an administrator user (domain admin / local administrator)
  2. Open programs and features
  3. Uninstall the Framework ECM application (or any application affected)
  4. Reinstall the same version as previous
  5. Launch FWECM using the domain admin account (once - ensure it is working)
  6. Log back into the user account and run FWECM - it should launch
