Standard inspections allow you to capture ad - hoc information about your project.

Description

When you select a project from the Projects screen you will see the Inspections screen which shows you all the inspections that you have access to on your projects.

  1. Indicates that you have not viewed the inspection.

  2. The inspection details.

  3. The inspection status.

  4. The number of items on the inspection.

  5. The inspection information page.

  6. Shows the synchronisation status of the inspection. Green means that all information has been synchronised. Amber means that there is information that needs to be synchronised (Pulling down on the screen will start the synchronisation manually).

When you first select an inspection you will see this screen,

  1. Press this to add an item. You can add items with or without photos.

  2. Press this to see the actions you can perform.

  3. Press this to get the app to download any data that has been added elsewhere.

  4. The last synchronisation time.

When you select to add an item with photos you have two options.

  1. Take a new photo.

  2. Select photos that you have already taken.

When you take a photo you are shown the image and you can choose to either;

  1. Retake the photo.

  2. Use the photo.

When you have taken a photo you can then edit it using your touchscreen.

  1. Change the colour that you annotate the image with.

  2. Change the thickness of the line.

  3. Rotate the image.

  4. Erase all annotations.

  5. Undo.

  6. Delete the photo.

  7. The photo for annotation.

  8. Finish editing and move to item details.

  9. Select photos from your phones camera roll,

  10. Take another photo.

If you choose the Select From Camera Roll option you will see all the photos on your camera roll and you can select up to 10 images.

  1. Select the required images (Up to 10).

  2. Press Add.

You will then be able to annotate all the images that you selected using your touchscreen.

  1. Change the colour that you annotate the image with.

  2. Change the thickness of the line.

  3. Rotate the image.

  4. Erase all annotations.

  5. Undo.

  6. Delete the photo.

  7. The photo for annotation.

  8. Finish editing and move to the next photo or the item details after the last selected image.

After you have added your photos (Or directly if you have selected to add an item without a photo.) you can add the information about the item.

When you touch inside the Location field you will be able to scroll through and select location that the time relates to.

You can then supply;

  1. Optionally add some notes about the location.

  2. if applicable choose the orientation.

  3. Add a description of the issue.

  4. When you are satisfied that you have supplied enough information to clearly outline what the issue is press Save.

You will then be taken back to the inspection screen.

  1. The item info,

  2. The status of the item. As your inspection progresses you will see this status change. Refer to the section below Workflow of an Inspection.

  3. The synchronisation staus of the item. Amber indicates that the item has not yet been synchronised. If you pull down on the screen it will do the synchronisation straight away as opposed to waiting until the next scheduled time (Usually every 5 minutes.)

Submitting your inspection

Description

When you have finished adding all of the items on your inspection press the ellipsis and select Submit Inspection.

  1. Optionally you can add some notes.

  2. Add your signature,

  3. Optionally you can add an additional signature (i.e. husband and wife).

  4. Submit.

You will see a warning message advising you that you will not be able to make any more changes. Press Submit.

The status of your inspection will change to Under Review. Refer to Statuses of Inspections for more information on this.

Description

 

The first status of an inspection is Awaiting Start.

When you start adding items the status moves to In Progress.

 

After you submit the inspection the status of the item is Under Review. This means it is awaiting your builder to either Approve or Reject the item.

When your builder starts approving or rejkecting your items the status moves to Under Review.

When your builder starts working on your items the status moves to Works in Progress.

When your builder has finished working on your items the status moves to Works Sign Off.

When you are satisfied you can sign off the inspection.

  1. Press the ellipsis.

  2. Press Sign Off Inspection.

  1. Optional. Add some notes

  2. Add your signature.

  3. Press the ellipsis.

  4. Optional. Add another signature.

  5. Sign off.

When signed off the inspection status moves to Complete. No further work can be done on the the inspection.

Description

You will see the inspection in the projects inspection view.

  1. Add another inspection.

  2. Search for an inspection.

  3. Inspection information and status.

  4. The number of items on the inspection.

  5. Information on the inspection

  1. The sync status of the inspection. Green signifies that it has been synced. Amber shows that there is information that has not yet been synced.

Optionally you may see introductory text on a structured inspection.

  1. Click to add an item to the inspection.

  2. Click to see the available actions.

  3. Search the items.

  4. The name of the group.

  5. This indicate s the item has not been viewed.

  6. The item status.

  7. The sync status. Amber indicate the item has not been synced back to the portal.

  8. The time that the last sync took place.

  1. Information on what is required.

  2. Navigation between inspection items. Note if you select Close you will be taken back to the items view and you can select the specific item that you want to work on

  3. Information on how to complete the item.

  4. The group that it belongs to.

  5. The responses that the user can choose.

  6. The item status.

  7. Optional you can specify that work is required to resolve this item.

  8. Quick note entry.

In the image below you can see that the seloected answer means that the item needs attention. The work required option was turned on automatically because the work is allowed option was set on the template.

If the answer selected was satisfactory the item is seen as Complete.

If Autocomplete entries have been defined on the template you can;

  1. Start typing the text.

  2. Select the response

It will then be added to the Notes box. You can repeat as required

You can also add notes manually by touching in the main notes area.

Some items willl have manadatory notes and photo requirements. It can also be configured that the response the user selects determines mandatory notes or photos.

When you reach the last item in the inspection

You can then submit the inspection in the normal way by pressing the ellipsis and selecting Submit Inspection.

Optionally you may see a conclusion page giving some further information

The inspection can then be signed by the inspector and any additional signatures can be captured. Terms and conditions may be set against the template and the person signing will have to accept them.
