Option Administration > Inspection Templates
Structured inspections use templates so to ensure that the same steps are performed for each inspection.
To be able to create a structured inspection template, you need to have the role Onsite Inspect - Data Administrator or Onsite Inspect - System Administrator.
When you are in one of these perspectives you have a new administration menu;

A structured inspection can be broken down into Groups. This allows you to group a series of questions/activities in a logical manner. When you click on the Add Group button the following screen is displayed; You can define as many groups as you require. |

When you click on the hyperlink for the group, you will be taken to the group's screen where you can add the required items. When you click on the Add Item button, the following screen is displayed. There are 4 different Response Types. When you have finished adding items to the group, you can click on the inspections ‘breadcrumb' to go back to the inspection screen. |

The submission details section allows you to define what happens when the user submits the inspection and also who is required to sign it off. If you tick the Sign Off Inspection on Submission option the workflow of the inspection is set to Complete and no further actions can ve taken on it. If you tick the Terms and Conditions are Required option, then each person who is required to sign off the inspection must acknowledge that they have read the terms and conditions specified in the Terms and Conditions URL defined below. The Additional Signatures section allows you to define the people that you want to be responsible for signing off the inspection. When you click the Add Authority button, you can add the role of the person whom you want to sign off the inspection. This is in addition to the inspector. The roles that you enter are free text and not standard Platform roles. |

When you have finished adding items to your inspection, to be able to use it, you must publish it. |
To make changes to a published template, you will need to create a new version;

Any inspections added will use the latest published version of the template that was available at the time the inspection was created. |
When you add an inspection to a project, it will show you the version number of the inspection that was used.
